Invitation to participate in TIAC-BNM 4th Monetary and Financial Economics Workshop, 19 November 2019

This workshop aims to facilitate the exchange of research ideas, findings, and insights on the latest topics in monetary and financial economics, as well as long-standing concepts that are currently being reconsidered. In the first session, the workshop looks into the relationship between monetary policy and inequality. It aims to shed light on this relatively less-explored relationship, seeking understanding of its mechanism and potential policy consequences. The second session focuses on inflation and its evolving dynamics in regional economies. Participation from Malaysian academics, policymakers and practitioners is very much encouraged to support the collective knowledge and expertise in the field of monetary and financial economics.
